Milky Way: Aquila to Scorpius
This image covers the richest section of the Milky Way and spans the constellations Aquila, Sagittarius, Ophiuchus, and Scorpius.
Near the center bottom are the bright star clouds of Sagittarius, where the center of the Milky Way Galaxy is located.In comparison, Ophiuchus is dominated by dark dust clouds that are even visible (in silhouette) to the naked eye from a dark sky location such as the Atacama.
