Wagon to the Milky Way
The Chiricahua Desert Museum (just north of Rodeo, New Mexico) has a great collection of live reptiles and snakes, as well as Native American artifacts, and wonderful artwork. But what fascinates me is an old wagon displayed outside in the parking lot. On May 1, I captured an image of the wagon with the summer Milky Way above it.
This region of the Milky Way includes some of the brighter summer constellations including Scorpius, andSagittarius. The planet Jupiter is the brightest 'star' appearing in the center of the Milky Way. And Saturn appears within the rear hoop of the wagon.
